Tony Smith has the Flinders Ranges in his blood. He’s the fourth generation of the Smith clan to live this remote part of South Australia – his grandparents Howard and Ida established Prelinna Station in 1923, and his parents Clem and Alison were the district’s first pastoralists to move into tourism. Together with his wife Julieanne he’s been working a patch of land in the shadows of Wilpena Pound since 1985.
