Experience the great Australian outback on a family-owned working sheep station. An easy 3-hour drive north of Adelaide makes us the perfect weekend destination for the whole family!

Spear Creek is located 25 kms south-east of Port Augusta, only 12 km off Highway 1. Our eastern boundary follows the summit of the ranges north from Horrocks Pass, with walking trails through deep gorges to range top views of upper Spencer Gulf. Our park is nestled amongst 600-year-old river red gums and oversees an abundance of nature along ‘Spear Creek’.

In late 2021, Spear Creek Caravan Park was purchased by the fourth generation Herde, Tom and his partner Jai. They have since rebranded the business as “Spear Creek Holiday Park”. and plan to develop new facilities, increase the number of camp sites, and offer unique experiences, whilst encapsulating the natural beauty and prime location of the Southern Flinders Ranges.

• Powered/Unpowered Sites • Bush Camping • Self-Contained Cabins • Barista Made Coffee • Showers, Toilets and Laundry • Fully Equipped Camp Kitchen • General Store (ask about our Saltbush Lamb!) • Event Hire • Station Tours • 4WD Tracks

Spear Creek is our home and we welcome you to come and enjoy our piece our paradise!
